A Rare NSFW Post…

I’m putting this post under a cut, because yeah–I’m talking about Japanese porn comics people…

As most of you know, I have an extensive Gungrave doujinshi collection–over 60 books, and of those books, only a small portion of them are actual yaoi.  The rest is hentai, and that’s ok.  I don’t read the books I produced on my own because…I know how they end.  0_0  I was digging through my stash recently when I realized that in these ultra conservative times, six of my books would land me in hot water with certain officials.  0______0

We all know I have a wet-spot for Ballabird Lee, and most of my Japanese fan comic collection centers on Lee, I accept no substitutions!  So naturally, I acquired Ten Pest’s hentai-Gungrave title e.s.t.  Circle Tanabe put out multiple volumes of Gungrave books, but this one has Ten Pest’s Lee, and I love this depiction of him as a zen-like, smiling colossal pervert.  There’s nothing this Lee isn’t capable of…he’s particularly fond of unleashing his org-men underlings for occasional rounds of gang-rape…and always has a delightful calm grin on his face, even when getting the proverbial blow-job from his favorite victim, Mika Asagi.

Yet my only issue with TenyP’s artwork is when it comes to Mika.  Most times she looks like she’s eight, until she gets raped {or has sex…semantics really}.

Naturally, I chalk this up to her scenes with Beyond as him seeing her as an innocent child—but the artist tends to leave her childlike, right up to where her clothes are ripped off, which happens often in this series.

It can be quite unsettling…if you’ve never had previous contact with Japanese culture, and the concept of idealized eroticism involving underage youth.  If you want to get your hands on this book, and you don’t live in Canada…you can still find it selling online at Suruga-ya. Needless to say, I’ll be retiring these books to a place where no one will find them—ever.

It’s kinda nice to have a clandestine “porn-stash” again…it feels like…the Reagan years.
