Back in September of 2009, we started renovation to the living room at the Waterfall Avenue address.
If you look at this pic here, you can see the old concrete floor – the basic chair rail we had…and those gold and maroon walls. You can even spot the old couch in the corner there. ^__^
If you look here, you can see the old wallpaper border we had at the top, and some unfinished columns we added some tiny molding too
it was pretty crappy…
It’s been a year, and what slowed the process up was– the paint on the concrete floor had to be ground off if we wanted to lay tile on it. This turned into a monster time-consuming chore. Lesson learned– never paint/score your concrete floor if you ever want to lay tile on it someday. Once we got the paint up, tiling was work– but it moved along smoothly.
